If the concept is simple, then the cost will likely be lower. An example of a simple concept is a “talking head” video, that is, an actor standing against a white background reading from a teleprompter whilst looking at a camera. Because of its simplicity, the budget for this type of video is likely to be low. If the concept is “high concept” that is, it requires several locations, involves stunts, visual effects, fire, animal actors, several background actors … then the cost of executing all these variables will likely bump the cost up.

How long does a film production shoot in NYC take ?

10-12 hours per day. The days usually begin early, around 5 am, and some crew members will have a call time as early as 4am, whilst the client will usually be scheduled to arrive last after everyone is settled. Some shoots may go past 10 or 12 hours, or go on for 2 – 3 days depending on length of script or complexity of shots.

There is a lot of talent spill over from television shows, Broadway and drama schools, and we take great pride in bringing this immense talent to Sinematic clients. Casting for specific international accents may take a bit longer to get the required look with the right accent. We advise clients to add a bit more lead time to find the right look and accent.

What should I consider if I want to have visual effects in my video?

Because of the intricate nature of visual effects, adding visual effects into the post-production phase of a content production campaign may affect the time of delivery. These effects demand attention to detail for a final polished look. From concept design to rendering and refining, these steps take time and high level skill. Revisions, feedback, adjustments are part of the process, and as a result, the inclusion of visual effects may prolong the post-production timeline, but the captivating and immersive end result is well worth the investment of time and resources.
